A Word of Welcome from our Pastor
Welcome to East Brentwood Presbyterian Church! On behalf of all who worship, learn and grow, and serve in this community of faith, let me encourage you to discover more about this congregation and its ministry. In fact, many of those who have worshiped and done all those other things here longer than I have will probably be of more help to you than I can right now. I became Pastor at East Brentwood on November 1, 2011, so there is still much that I’m discovering about it. What I have discovered so far is a warm and inviting community of faith full of gifts God has gathered here to proclaim the Good News of God’s love and care for us and to invite all who seek to experience those gifts to join us as we discover them together.
If you are new to our community and searching for a community to support and encourage you on your journey, I hope you will want to know more about East Brentwood Presbyterian Church. Located at the busy intersection of Concord Road and Wilson Pike, we are centrally located to the bustling Brentwood area and worth the drive from farther away. This website can serve as an introduction to us and our ministry, but the best way to get to know us and to let us get to know you is to visit. We hope you will.
Worship is at 8:30 and 11:00 am on Sundays. Sunday School groups for all ages meet at 9:45 am. Lots of different activities for people of all ages, from preschoolers to senior adults happen throughout the week. We hope you’ll join us for worship and other activities soon.
If I, personally, can be of service to you, please be in touch at ebpcpastor@comcast.net
or 615-370-4227. I look forward to welcoming you to East Brentwood soon.
Grace and Peace,
Bob Phelps

Lent Begins on February 22nd
The season of Lent is a time
to focus on spiritual renewal as we anticipate they joy of Resurrection on Easter. After a fun night of frivolity on Fat Tuesday, we will begin our Lenten journey on Ash Wednesday. The theme for our Lenten worship this year
will be A Covenant Life.
Preaching throughout the season will focus on Old Testament texts celebrating God’s covenant relationship with us.
Plan to be present throughout the season as we experience
God’s grace together.
Ash Wednesday Worship Wednesday, February 22nd
at 7:00 p.m.
This time of worship
and reflection will include the imposition of ashes as a sign of repentance and new beginning.
