Service and Outreach

As a family of Christ, we value all God's people and will strive to create a better world through our thoughts, words and deeds.  In gratitude for God’s grace, we will give of our time, talent and resources to those in need spiritually, physically and materially.  We are guided by the words of Christ found in Matthew 25:35-36.

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me."

East Brentwood Presbyterian Church supports and is actively engaged in the following ministries:

Room in the Inn

Room In The Inn, in partnership with more than 160 local congregations, provided shelter for 1,286 individuals from November 1 - March 31. Last year, with the help of approximately 5,000 volunteers, giving almost 130,000 hours of service and driving nearly 500,000 miles, Room In The Inn provided over 29,000 beds, over 22,000 showers, and served over 60,000 meals and almost 30,000 snacks/lunches to their homeless guests.

East Brentwood Presbyterian Church participates in
Room in the Inn by hosting guests on the second and fourth Tuesday nights from November through March.

 Luke 14:12

Drawing upon local faith communities, congregations, agencies, and businesses,Luke 14:12 is a nonprofit organization providing meals to homeless and hungry of Nashville. The mission of Luke 14:12 is to address the nutritional needs of persons in Nashville who are inadequately fed. The organization invites all who are hungry to be guests at their table.

Meals are served at noon on Tuesdays and Fridays, year-round (seating by 11:30) and are served at the Center for Human Development on 8th Avenue in downtown Nashville. East Brentwood Presbyterian Church supports Luke 14:12 financially and also helps serve meals on the third Tuesday of the month.

 Monroe Harding

Monroe Harding partners with at-risk youth and families to provide a bridge toward independence and success.

It is the goal of Monroe Harding to help at-risk children and youth realize their full potential by providing them opportunities to learn key life lessons.

Their programs are geared toward introducing, teaching and modeling behaviors and skills that allow youth to be independent and successful. Monroe Harding seeks to create change and truly make a difference in lives of at-risk children and youth.

EBPC supports Monroe Harding financially.  Several of our members are tutors for young men who are served by Monroe Harding.
