*Affirmation of Faith—Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Prayers of the People—Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Welcome to East Brentwood
To Our Members: East Brentwood gladly welcomes first-time and returning visitors. By introducing yourself and sharing a warm greeting, you express the hospitality of our congregation. Please share a smile and welcoming word to those around you.
To Our Guests: We offer education and fellowship opportunities in the mornings and evenings for children, youth and adults. Please see the Calendar of Events for dates and times. Interested in joining East Brentwood? Please speak to John Hilley after the service. Our next new member classes are April 19th and 26th.
East Brentwood Presbyterian Church is a community church made up of a loving, welcoming family of believers in honest conversation with God. We seek to emulate the ministry of Jesus through compassionate service, with stimulating and relevant exploration of God’s Word, and by sharing that Word and God’s many blessings with our neighbors in Middle Tennessee and around the world.

We will be doing tasks such as stick and litter pick up and planting the remaining Easter lilies. Items to bring: a bagged lunch for your family, work or gardening gloves (I suggest thin, washable winter gloves for children), and yard work clothing. I will be wearing my casual, yard work clothes to church that day so feel free to dress down with me! DATE: 4/19/2015 (Sun 11:00AM - 1:30PM), LOCATION: EBPC. Please RSVP using the link on the church’s calendar on the website.

Men’s Night Out: Friday, April 24th at 6:00 pm: With the weather getting nicer, sitting around a fellowship fire is a great way to have a good time and meet other guys of the church for good conversation. If you plan to be there, let the Richard White know (firstname.lastname@example.org) on or before Monday, April 20th, so we can plan to provide some food or snacks. Bring your own liquid refreshments, if desired; he will bring bottled water for everyone.
Annual Yard Sale: Saturday, April 25th from 8:00 am—noon. Please start thinking about donating items from your attic, garage, closets, etc. Large items are especially wanted, but we will take anything including clothing, sports equipment, etc. We can pick up items anytime if you want them out of the way. Help support the youth mission trip to Charleston, SC.

A weekly prayer group meets at 9:00 am on Wednesday mornings in an upstairs classroom at the church. All are welcome to join us.
New Structure for Children's Faith Formation Time on Sunday Mornings: The Christian Faith Formation Ministry Team has been working hard to re-evaluate our children's programming and make appropriate changes to our Sunday morning routine.
· Beginning on April 12th there will no longer be a LEARN time for children from 9-10 AM. There will be self-directed activities available for children who accompany their parents to Adult LEARN Time.
· During the 10:00 am Worship Service on April 12th all children will stay in the sanctuary for the Youth-led Sunday service.
· Beginning Sunday, April 19th when the children ages 3 to 2nd grade are dismissed after the Children's Time for their Children's Worship Experience upstairs, they will notice some differences. This new program will represent components from both the traditional children's worship and the Spark's Sunday School curriculum. Adult volunteers will lead the Children as they explore the Bible units through hands-on, age-appropriate, experiential activities that are designed to engage them while also instilling Biblical education.
· Kelly McConnell is developing an exciting program for our 3rd-5th graders that will alternate between in- and out-of-worship programming that will both continue to help them integrate into worship while also providing them with an age-appropriate Christian Education. More specific information will be forthcoming.
