We want to engage our members and others in varied and meaningful forms of Christian learning and discipleship.
The practice of intentional faith development gives disciples a network of support, encouragement and direction as we seek to grow in Christ. Sunday school classes, Bible studies, choirs and other small groups are really little churches within the bigger church family, and are foundational in forming and keeping a strong church. Learning in community provides accountability for our faith journeys.
Adult Learning Circle:
Join an East Brentwood Presbyterian Learning Circle where we seek to understand our journey of faith and what is means to follow Christ. We will study Brian McLaren’s book, We Make the Road By Walking: A Year-Long Quest for Spiritual Formation, Reorientation, and Activation, which offers spiritual seekers, ex-Christians, and long-time Christians from diverse backgrounds a common understanding of what it means to follow Christ. In previous adult education classes, we have had amazing conversations as we have read McLaren’s work and we expect this one to be the same.
Learning Circle Meets Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 9 a.m.
LEARN Time for Youth:
Preschool and Elementary: Children's Worship/Sunday School for children three years of age through 5th grade will meet at 10 am during the worship service, not at 9 am as they previously did. With the new program, children will briefly gather with the EBPC congregation at the beginning of the 10 am worship and then they will move to the upstairs education space for interactive worship, crafts and learning for the remainder of the service.
