Meet Miss Gina

I have a degree in education and worked at Sunset Elementary for two years in the Early Childhood program.  The class consisted of special children and peers. Although I loved what I did; the days were long.  I began working at EBPC three years ago and have never looked back.  It is exciting to be a part of such a dynamic team of teachers and staff that is knowledgeable, hard working and enthusiastic! I believe whole heartedly in the program here and the work that we do.  I feel privileged to partner the 5 day program with Karen Parsons. Our mission is in building confidence and preparing the students academically and socially for kindergarten

     I moved to Tennessee 5 yrs ago from Long Island.  I have three girls; Olivia, Johanna and Emma.  Olivia and Johanna go to Ravenwood and Emma is a 4th grader at Sunset.  I have been married for 17 years and my husband travels weekly.  My girls are active in dance, marching band, girl scouts, soccer and basketball.  We are members of Holy Family and live in the Brookfield subdivision.  I currently hold a position on the Board of Directors for the HOA and am very active in my neighborhood.   I enjoy doing things with my family, reading, camping, arts and crafts, movie watching, gardening, and am a regular on Face book. I thrive in leading a very active and busy life. 

     I believe my job, as a teacher is to provide a warm environment where children can explore, experiment, create and learn through developmentally appropriate hands-on experiences. THANK YOU for allowing me the privilege of working with your child this year. As we become partners in your child's life for this school year, let's work as a team to make this one of the BEST experiences ever. Together, we can help your child develop a genuine love of learning and a strong educational foundation for the years to come!

 

 

Meet Miss Karen

Dear Parents,
 
Let me introduce myself.  I am Miss Karen.  I have a BA in elementary education from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  I am starting my 18th year teaching 4/5 year olds.
 
My family consists of my husband, two girls and our dog.  We have moved quite often but have finally settled in Brentwood for the last 21 years.  My husband works for the TBI (the state's version of the FBI) and is an avid golfer.  He can be found on the golf course whenever he has a free moment.  Jenni, our oldest, is 33 and married.  She earned her PhD in nuclear engineering from UT-Knoxville and she and her husband line in Cincinnati.  While she was a PhD candidate, she got to travel around the world presenting some of her research.  They have a beagle named Gromit.  She is my grandpuppy!  Tracy is 29 and is a graduate of Belmont via Western Kentucky.  She played golf for the Lady Bruins and also earned her masters in sport administration.  After serving 3 years as the women's assistant golf coach at Vanderbilt, she is now the assistant women's golf coach at University of Texas-Austin.  She also has travelled the world recruiting for Texas.  She has gotten to play at Augusta and Cypress Point (two famous golf courses) and made my husband very jealous!  Bogey (he is named for par plus one-a golf term) is our 4 1/2 year old chocolate lab.  He is my "child" at home!!!!
 
I am looking forward to this year and all the fun we are going to have.  Welcome.
